Small steps in everyday life, large investments and innovations - we are committed to a sustainable company path. This includes energy- and resource-saving production as well as the prudent use of our team's resources. We will show you how sustainability characterises the way GfA thinks and works.

Combined heat and power plant

Secure your own power supply and utilise the waste heat in the production process - the combined heat and power plant is our sustainability must-have!

Photovoltaic system

400 solar panels on the warehouse and office building with a possible total output of approx. 163 kWh supply around 100,000 kWh per year at peak times.

Closed water circuit

Thanks to optimised water supply measures in 2015 and 2024, we were able to significantly reduce our consumption. This precious resource is treated and reused in GfA's own water cycle.

100% LED lighting

LEDs save up to 90% energy and have more than 10 times the service life of conventional light sources. That is why we now rely 100% on the most efficient type of lighting.

Company-owned e-vehicles

Several e-vehicles in the GfA fleet, six e-charging points with a total of eleven charging stations on the company premises - powered by our own photovoltaic electricity. In the long term, e-vehicles will hopefully also become a realistic option for the long-distance assignments of our specialist consultants in the field.

Sustainable parcel shipping

Thanks to our logistics partner GLS and the "Climate Protect" strategy, GfA goods are climate-neutral when travelling. We also save valuable resources by the metre with deposit reels for major customers.

Recycling

Active environmental management, ISO-certified and therefore in accordance with globally accepted standards. Specifically: careful handling of raw materials, maximum recycling and the reuse of final waste materials in other industries.

Drinking water

Fresh, filtered drinking water tapped directly from the tap saves kilometres and kilometres of transport.

Paperless office

By gradually converting our IT to a new merchandise management system and optimising internal (software) processes, we can significantly reduce paper consumption in everyday office and shipping operations.

GfA bee colony

Thousands of helping wings make a valuable contribution to species protection and the preservation of biodiversity in our region: the smallest GfA employees live in four beehives on the GfA site.

Fitness room

Healthy balance is required for sometimes one-sided exercise routines at the workplace: fitness routines can be integrated into the daily routine directly on the company premises.

Bike leasing for employees

Climate-neutral and demonstrably healthier travelling thanks to plenty of exercise in the fresh air - we provide our employees with the "JobRad" model.

Fresh fruit and vegetables

Minerals, vitamins and fibre from the "market box" directly into the stomachs of our employees. Every week, a crunchy selection of fruit and vegetables provides a healthy boost.

Height-adjustable desks

Height-adjustable desks make it possible to think, write and work in an (anatomically) varied posture - against back pain and for a healthy team.

Short distances thanks to made in Marxen, Germany.

Production in northern Germany also guarantees quality and short transport routes on the international market. Our production site in Cape Town, South Africa, also contributes to GfA's positive carbon footprint.
